Dr. Dianne Conrad is a retired Canadian adult educator who has specialized in open, distance and online learning, and assessment in higher education. For the latter part of her thirty-three year career, she served as Director of the Centre for Learning Accreditation at Athabasca University (AU), responsible for managing AU's prior learning recognition and assessment process. Since retirement, she has published five books. Her latest book, entitled Portraits of Academic Life: From Hiring to Retiring, co-edited with Dr. Walter Archer, will be published open press in 2024.
