Student mobility and recognition post-pandemic – a reality check and a vision

Irina Ferencz

Irina Ferencz serves as the Director of the Academic Cooperation Association (ACA), a network of funding agencies of international cooperation in higher education. Irina works in the field of higher education since 2008, having a specific expertise - practice and applied research - in the area of student and staff mobility in the European context (data collections, trends, policies), as well as in assessing internationalisation activities at institutional and national level. This experience is derived from working directly with institutions, national governments, European Commission, and international data collectors, on comparative, policy-oriented projects and initiatives, resulting in multiple publications. Irina is also a PhD candidate at Ghent University, and a reviewer for two higher education journals. She holds an MSc in Political Science from KULeuven, Belgium and a Bachelor’s degree from Babeș-Bolyai University, Romania.
